Pfancy's Favorites Farm was established 15 years ago with the ambition of raising good quality foals from good quality mares that are also brought along between babies. We are now on our third generation of mares and will soon start breeding the third. All foals originated from my little mare, Pfancy That, which I showed through PSG in dressage. She was never competitive, but fairly correct and tried her heart out (I framed that test when she earned an 8 on her 3-tempis!). She produced several foals, which became broodmares themselves and one stallion, Chant de Paix.

Astrid, a 1999 Swedish mare by Amiral out of Pfancy That, has a wonderful mind and a real aptitude for dressage and collection. She is a true powerhouse and quick learner. She has produced 4 premium foals by Come Back II, Rubignon, Blue Eyed Dream and the latest by Lotus T. She is a wonderful mother and has an amazing work ethic, beginning 3rd level movements already (even with all the pregnancies)! Astrid has been sold to an amateur owner who is learning dressage.

Labriana, a 1998 Holsteiner mare by Cicero out of Pfancy That. "Bri" has had 3 Briar foals, the first of which was one of the two highest scoring foals for SWANA the year of his inspection. Her second colt is being considered for a stallion and her third is Bella, who has taken her place as broodmare at our farm. Bri also produced a beautiful filly by Vermouth.  She was brought along lightly between babies in both dressage and jumping and has been sold to a wonderful home with an amateur dressage rider, Kathleen Bleech. We wish them great successes in the show ring!

Coming Attraction, a 2003 Swedish mare by Come Back II out of Astrid by Amiral. "Roxy" was awarded amazing scores of 9-8-9 by SWANA at her foal inspection. Her mind is absolutely amazing and her gaits match it! After only 45 days started, she already drives a marathon cart and is showing training level with great scores! I've never had a youngster this easy! Roxy's first foal by Morroco is thriving with his new owner, Morgan Schmidt, and has a bright future in dressage. Roxy is schedule to be bred in 2009 to Belamour, standing in Sweden.

Dragon's Lair Pink's Perfection, a 1997 section C Welsh Cob mare by Blaengwen Dafydd-Y-Gwas out of Periwinkle Tickled Pink. "Molly" stands 13.1 hands and she is certain that she's actually 17hh. She is powerful and smart and is currently showing Prix St George. Molly earned a bronze medal with her scores from first through third level and only needs one more score for her silver. She will certainly be an FEI pony! Molly has produced 3 premium foals and is due in May by the New Forest pony stallion, Webster.

Bella, a 2004 Swedish mare by Briar out of Labriana by Cicero and out of Pfancy That. Bella also received a 9 on her gaits from SWANA and is growing into herself daily. She is classically beautiful, with a very sweet temperament and amazing movement. Bella earned her diploma in 2008 after completing her 4 year test. She has been sold to Betty Ledyard to continue her dressage career.

So, as you can see, we have lots planned for the near future.  We obsess over matching mare to stallion and research endlessly. We will only breed mares that are very trainable as well as talented and all mares are ridden and shown during and between babies. Below are links to some of the stallions we have used and were very happy with the resulting foals.

We are so proud of our home-bred stallion, Chat de Paix. After starting his career in dressage, within 2 1/2 years and under the keen training talents of Jennie Jarnstrom, our boy made it to advanced and finished 2005 as first in Region 3 Advanced, open division. He is currently being shown in the mini-prix jumper classes by his new owner, Laura Gaither and will continue his eventing career, as well. He has produced several proven eventers, and all his babies are naturally talented at jumping and they all have wonderful gaits. We look forward to following him in the future, as he is still young for his level.
